Abstract

Different nucleic acid derivatives (NADs) with therapeutic activity can be synthesized by employing immobilized enzymes as an ecofriendly alternative to traditional organic chemistry. This chapter describes the most recent immobilized biocatalysts that have been successfully used in the preparation of many antiviral and antitumoral NADs as drugs or prodrugs.
