Abstract

The effect of ACTN3 has mainly been studied in elite athletes, bades on the hypothesis that its influence on muscle function would be most readily observable at the extremes of human performance. The main purpose of this study was to examine the association of ACTN3 with marathon performance across a wide range of competition levels.
