Abstract
The digitization process underway in formal education in Spain is not mirrored in arts education, which remains influenced by the legacy of traditional classroom teaching and various forms of resistance among teachers. A reflective reading of existing literature in the specific field of music education reveals some specific difficulties, such as technical problems and the loss of direct contact with students, and consequently, the diminished impact of imitative learning. However, technology also presents a significant opportunity to strengthen self-directed learning, self-regulated learning, and personalized learning, and opens new avenues for the development of instrumental teaching programs. This articlei ncludes a brief interview with guitarist and founder of the online school Momento Guitarra, Pablo Romero Luis, whooffers a valuable perspective from real-world practice on the transformation from a traditional classroom-based training process to one mediated by technology.
