Resumen:
The aim of the present study was to characterise the behaviour of top class women’s and men’s soccer in terms of shot, goal and save characteristics, in order to detect gender-based differences. Such information may allow the construction of a model with which the specific demands of women’s soccer can be established. This would then allow training and teaching to be modified to better meet these specific demands, and not as has traditionally happened, considering the behavior and demands of the men's soccer.
