Abstract
Este trabajo propone una relectura sobre los cambios experimentados por la retablística en Canarias a finales del siglo xviii, coincidentes con la normativa que intentó reglamentar su evolución estética y material.
This paper suggests a reinterpretation of the changes experienced by the art of making altarpieces in the Canary Islands at the end of the 18th century, coinciding with the rules that tried to regulate their aesthetic and material evolution.
