La Casa Ugalde es una hibridación arquitectónica-fotográfica: un storyboard. Se convierte en una cámara fotográfica transitable, recortando y seleccionando diferentes puntos de vista hacia el paisaje. La realidad puede captarse a través de imágenes y secuencias. La mirada fotográfica ofrece nuevas posibilidades para el análisis y desarrollo de la arquitectura. Coderch consigue construir una arquitectura a través de la mirada. Aficionado a la fotografía se acercaba a la arquitectura estudiando la luz, las líneas de fuga, el encuadre, la atmósfera, el ángulo visual, la sombra, la nitidez, la posición de observador entre otros.
