El síndrome de Wartenberg en odontología

Abstract

El síndrome de Quervain afecta a numerosas actividades laborales, entre ellas la Odontología, donde realizamos a diario y repetidas veces la pinza entre el pulgar y el índice para la sujeción del instrumental y la utilización de materiales dentales. Igualmente, los movimientos repetidos de la muñeca durante nuestro trabajo clínico deben ser tomados en consideración cuando hablamos de este síndrome.

De Quervain´s disease affects in numerous works tasks or activities incluiding dentistry, in which we daily and repetitively use the finger´s tweezer like when holding or manipulating our dental instruments or materials between the thumb and the index finger. The wrist ´s repetitive movements during our clinical work must be taken into consideration when we talk about this syndrome.
