Abstract

As the tourism industry faces growing pressure to align with environmental and demographic imperatives, Spain emerges as a case study for how sustainable travel can evolve through digital innovation and inclusion. This paper explores the intersection of sustainable tourism, ageing populations, and emerging technologies—particularly artificial Intelligence and blockchain—through a qualitative analysis of Spain’s tourism strategy and stakeholder interviews.
