Incertidumbres en las intervenciones en el patrimonio edificado. Conflictos permanentes

Abstract

Actualmente existe un extenso número de edificios que hemos heredado de sociedades anteriores a la nuestra y que han quedado en desuso debido principalmente a los cambios sociales y del modelo económico de nuestra sociedad respecto a las anteriores, lo que ha supuesto en numerosas ocasiones la obsolescencia de los edificios heredados y el abandono de estos, facilitando la aparición de la ruina funcional y por consiguiente su desaparición. Es necesario convertir el patrimonio edificado en un recurso activo ya que abandonado, inactivo o en ruinas no sirve de nada. La sociedad actual debe de encontrar un equilibrio entre el aprovechamiento social y el económico de los edificios históricos para legarlos con garantías de conservación para el disfrute de las generaciones futuras.

Currently there is an extensive number of buildings that we have inherited from societies before our own and that have been left in disuse due mainly to social changes and the economic model of our society compared to previous ones, which has led to obsolescence on numerous occasions of the inherited buildings and the abandonment of them, facilitating the appearance of the functional ruin and consequently their disappearance. It is necessary to convert the built heritage in an active resource because abandoned, inactive or in ruins does not help. Today’s society must find a balance between the social and economic use of the historic buildings to bequeath them with conservation guarantees for the enjoyment of future generations
