Cognitive Intervention (CI) program outcomes vary significantly, making it essential to identify factors that enhance their effectiveness. This study evaluated the impact of the UMAM multicomponent CI program on cognitive performance, subjective memory, daily forgetfulness, and mood in individuals with memory complaints. Older adults without cognitive impairment were randomly assigned to either an experimental (n=115) or control (n=111) group. Assessments included a neuropsychological protocol and the Memory Failures of Everyday Questionnaire (MFE) before and after a six-month intervention (30 sessions). The program incorporated memory strategies, cognitive stimulation, metamemory training, and real-life adaptive exercises. Results indicated significant improvements in logical memory (d=.30), processing speed (d=.26), verbal fluency (d=.33, d=.27), and general cognition (d=.82) (all, p<.05). Mood state (d=.25) and everyday forgetfulness (d=.29) also improved. Findings suggest that targeted, real-life-focused cognitive training effectively enhances cognition and well-being.spa
