La representación de los movimientos migratorios en la prensa de los países hispanohablantes (2013-2015)

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza las informaciones sobre los movimientos migratorios aparecidas en las principales cabeceras de la prensa de los países hispanohablantes en el periodo 2013-2015, a partir de un corpus elaborado con la base de datos Factiva®. Nuestro análisis se centra en la configuración de las informaciones sobre movimientos migratorios, atendiendo especialmente a los temas seleccionados en los medios de comunicación representativos de cada área geográfica del español y a las elecciones lingüísticas que les dan forma, con el objeto de conocer las imágenes que los periódicos hispanohablantes transmiten de las diferentes realidades migratorias.This paper analyzes the news regarding migratory movements published by the main newspapers of the Spanish speaking countries between the years 2013-2015. The corpus was stablished on the basis of Factiva® database. Our analysis shows how the information about migratory movements is shaped, focusing specially on the subjects chosen in the newspapers (which are representative of each geographic area of Spanish Language) and on the linguistic choices that build these subjects. The final purpose is to identify the images offered by the newspapers about the different migratory realities.
