Abstract
The spaces dedicated to listening to music in cities have gradually transformed at the same pace as consumer habits. The context of urban planning, architectural design, different regulations, combined with cultural aspects, cause new challenges and redefine a term: noise. As an object of study, the city of Madrid is considered, where noise, from its subjective dimension, has always been a cause of controversy and conflict, which requires control from the administrations.
