Abstract

This chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into higher education through experiential learning techniques, particularly Challenge Based Learning (CBL). It highlights the global adoption of SDGs as a framework for addressing issues like poverty, health, and environmental sustainability. The focus is on Spain's efforts to implement the Agenda 2030, with a special emphasis on education's role in fostering skills necessary for sustainable development. The text details two CBL projects in different educational contexts, demonstrating how this approach enhances student skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation, directly contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education). These projects show significant positive impacts on student motivation and learning outcomes, underlining the effectiveness of experiential learning in embedding SDG principles into higher education curricula.
