Steam learning journeys: an education beyond the academy

Abstract

In an increasingly interconnected and innovation-oriented world, Higher Education must constantly evolve to prepare students to face the new challenges and opportunities. To achieve this, it is essential that educational institutions foster an interdisciplinary approach that encompasses the STEAM disciplines. In this context, the "STEAM Learning Journeys" project aims to transform education at the European University of Valencia through the implementation of Learning Journeys. These are cross-curricular academic trips that serve as fundamental tools for training highly skilled STEAM professionals, socially and environmentally committed To address it, the present paper presents a questionnaire (pre and post academic travel) that will enable a more rigorous and systematic evaluation of the educational benefits associated with the STEAM Learning Journeys.
