Abstract
Analizando las formas inspiradas en la
montaña en cierta arquitectura efímera
barroca y posbarroca, podemos diferenciar
This article analyzes the forms that are inspired by the mountain in a certain ephemeral baroque and post-baroque architecture. We came to differentiate two major categories: the « mountain-building » and the « building-mountain ». The fore is a building with an “architectural” interior and an exterior that could be the dream of an architecture without the limits imposed by simple geometric shapes. The latter is a building in which the architectural order and the “no-order” of the rock elements are combined. This produces an exterior image that aspires to complex compositional unification. In both cases we observe the attempts of the formal experimentation of the time to incorporate the vocabulary of “the amorphous mountain”, which represents the idea of Nature, to the ground of the order’s architecture, which represents the Culture.
