Abstract

University teachers should devote time to three tasks: teaching, research and management. Some teachers do not knowhow to manage their time well so teaching tasks take too much time. In order to conductresearch or fulfil their managementresponsibilities, they are obliged to work more hours than those stipulated in their contracts. Furthermore, they often havethe feeling that, despite the long hours devoted to teaching, their students fail to obtain the results desired, and this feelingleads to frustration. Some ideas for helping teachers to optimize their teaching time are presented in this article, so that byimproving their quality of teaching the number of hours can be reduced and, at the same time, better results can be achievedby their students.
