Abstract
The article is a set of reflections, which produced in parallel to the development of three recent projects, deal with the architecture that transcends its technical nature. The building, made of inanimate materials which change shape in contact with water, has something of an animated organism (because of its architecture) which is going to be subject to time, the condition of its architecture as a cultural fact, capable of moving to recognition as well as humor, and the building as an accumulator of time and as an endless well of sense are the issues that are intertwined. And the lesson from the masters. Coderch’s architecture, which, as he said, is based in “living tradition”, in positioning oneself in favour of anonymity and the ease with which traditional architecture is produced and the constant self demand of the architect himself, in relation to his work. Jujol’s architecture, and I think, generally speaking, the best architecture, reveals the constitution of the world as a set of points of time accumulation.
