El joven Corrales. Noche y viento

Abstract

Se describen cinco proyectos –cuatro de ellos inéditos– del joven José Antonio Corrales. También uno de sus poemas no publicado de aquellos años. Proyectos realizados en solitario entre 1954 y 1957. En ellos se descubre su búsqueda constante hacia lo que será su futura arquitectura. Cinco proyectos que en su diversidad de escala y programa nos permiten fijarnos en las herramientas comunes empleadas. La sección, comienza a responder al terreno, programa, material y construcción, anticipando al Corrales que vendrá. La sección empleada como sistema, y su manejo elaborado de la escala. La sección simultánea, unitaria y episódica, su ingenio constructivo llevando al límite materiales y soluciones, contrastes espaciales en sección mediante juegos de escala y material, el trabajo paralelo de planta y sección hasta casi su coincidencia. Son algunas de las cualidades de su arquitectura que aquí se relatan y muestran sus inicios en estos proyectos desconocidos. Un entendimiento de la arquitectura de José Antonio Corrales, vital y entusiasta que en su empeño y constancia irá perfeccionando y convirtiéndolos en seña de identidad. Estas líneas convertidas en mirada retrospec tiva, nos permiten comprender de manera más profunda de su obra. Da aquí sus primeros pasos la arquitectura del joven Corrales.Five projects – four of them unpublished – of the young José Antonio Corrales are described.
