Aino Marsio Aalto y el mobiliario moderno: “let´s think about it”

Abstract

Esta investigación sobre Aino Marsio Aalto parte de los objetos que configuran el interior del espacio doméstico. Se focaliza en dos proyectos que han sido elaborados por ella, el plano de la habitación infantil para el apartamento de Turku de 1929 y los planos de la cocina para el apartamento mínimo de la exposición de Helsinki de 1930. Ellos contienen la esencia de su pensamiento para entender su aportación del amueblamiento de los espacios; que incluyen diagramas de funcionamiento y relaciones con su uso. Aino Marsio no proyecta la arquitectura desde los materiales con los que se construye el espacio sino con el mobiliario necesario que estructura los ambientes por su uso, de manera científica. Su visión de las artes decorativas propone un conjunto de objetos estándar mínimos asociados al movimiento, peso, crecimiento y escala del cuerpo de los usuarios que permiten la interacción y diferentes configuraciones de los espacios. Convirtiendo los interiores en un juego flexible de espacios domésticos de la vida moderna.

This research on Aino Marsio Aalto starts from the objects that make up the interior of the domestic space. It focuses on two projects that have been elaborated by her, the plan of the children's room for the Turku apartment of 1929 and the plans of the kitchen for the minimal apartment of the Helsinki exhibition of 1930. They contain the essence of her thought to understand its contri-bution to the furnishing of spaces; including operating diagrams and relationships with their use. Aino Marsio does not project architecture from the materials with which the space is built, but with the necessary furniture that structures the environments by its use, in a scientific way. His vision of the decorative arts proposes a set of minimal standard objects associated with the movement, weight, growth and scale of the user's body that allow interaction and different con-figurations of spaces.
