In Spain, the percentage of intensive care unit (ICU) patients is very high, as well as the mortality rate. This article discusses a 38-year-old woman admitted to the ICU for acute respiratory failure secondary to SARS-CoV-2 infection. Early physiotherapy improved lung secretion removal, respiratory mechanics outcomes, gas exchange, and muscle strength without adverse effects.
