Process evaluation of apple-tree (Active prevention in people at risk of dementia through lifestyle behaviour change and technology to build resilience), a dementia-prevention study focused on health and lifestyle changes. https://doi.org/10.1101/2025.05.16.25327783https://hdl.handle.net/11268/16489In a mixed-methods process evaluation embedded within a randomised controlled trial, we aimed to investigate how the APPLE-Tree secondary dementia prevention intervention might support behavioural and lifestyle goal attainment, through determining contexts influencing engagement and testing intervention theoretical assumptions. The intervention supported behaviour change, through increasing knowledge and providing space to plan, implement and evaluate new strategies and make social connections. Feedback indicated that the intervention was flexible and inclusive of diverse preferences and needs.engAttribution 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Process Evaluation of APPLE-Tree (Active Prevention in People at risk of dementia through Lifestyle bEhaviour Change and Technology to build REsiliEnce), a Dementia-Prevention Programmejournal article10.1101/2025.05.16.25327783open accessCiencias médicasMedicina preventivaGerontologíaGoal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all agesGoal 4: Quality educationGoal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries
