In Spain, the percentage of intensive care unit (ICU) patients is very high, as well as the mortality rate. This article discusses a 38-year-old woman admitted to the ICU for acute respiratory failure secondary to SARS-CoV-2 infection. Early physiotherapy improved lung secretion removal, respiratory mechanics outcomes, gas exchange, and muscle strength without adverse effects. Regarding the lack of information about physiotherapy effects in this context, these data are essential to demonstrate the feasibility of early physiotherapy in such patients who are young as well as older.
