En este artículo se analiza la tendencia a la
desmaterialización de la piel exterior de los
edificios que sirven al gran comercio urbano
(almacenes y grandes almacenes clásicos).
La función del comercio popular, extrovertida
y ávida por exponer la mercancía y el interior
del espacio comercial, tiende a la vitrificación
de la fachada, generando una arquitectura
muy transparente incluso antes de que la
transparencia fuese un valor de modernidad.
En las horas nocturnas el edificio comercial
transparente es un edificio que brilla, explotando
el reclamo de la luz eléctrica para cosificar
la arquitectura, como si e tratase de una
mercancía más.
This article describes the phenomenon
of dematerialization of the outer skin of
the buildings that serve the retail trade
(Department stores and warehouses
classics). Large buildings for retail trade
