Abnormalities in the normal physiology and sequence of electrical activation of the heart that can lead to slowing of the heart rate are called bradyarrhythmias. Based on the area of the conduction system where the abnormality or heart block occurs, it is either sinus node dysfunction-sinoatrial block, intra-atrial block, or atrioventricular block. Regardless of the anatomical area where the conduction block appears, three well-differentiated degrees of disease can be distinguished according to its intensity: a first-degree or partial block, a second-degree block, or a third-degree or advanced block. Bradyarrhythmias secondary to sinus node syndrome can occur due to an error in its automation or its conduction to the atrium. It commonly occurs within what is called bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome. In an advanced interatrial block of the Bachmann's bundle, the stimulus is blocked between the atria from right to left in the upper part in the muscular bundle area and in other areas of the septum. Atrioventricular block is a delay or interruption in the conduction of the impulse from the atrium to the ventricles due to either an anatomical or functional cause. Intraventricular conduction disorders o...
