Resumen:
The aim of this article is to highlight the right to disconnect, which is gaining importance nowadays as labour preventive measure, offering help to get a real balance of family and work life.
The unreasonable use of ICTs entails a workday extension many times, and if that interfere with personal life, it could cause psychosocial damages, so it will be necessary to effect correctly a risk evaluation and job descriptions in order to know the incidence rate of harmful effects.
However, a good course of action about balance of family and work life, needs to know perfectly what it will be the main objectives and which tools we will need to use to get them. Even more, if the right to disconnect is difficult or impossible to enjoy due to work position or jobs to carry out, it will be necessary to search for compensatory remuneration measures.
